PARENTS
Parents are an integral part of the program and are always welcome. For the safety of the children, the outside doors are locked, so that unknown people cannot wander in. There are opportunties for parental involvement in classroom activities. Parents may choose to be involved in fundraisers, field trips, classroom parties, or other activities during the school year.
FINANCIAL AID
Financial aid is available to assist in the payment of tuition. If this would enable you to send your child to Zion, please fill out the Financial Aid Application.
ADMINISTRATION
Zion is a nonprofit organization under the supervision of Zion Lutheran Church and Zion's Board of Christian Education. The school is licensed by the State of Michigan.

TRANSPORTATION
Parents are responsible for transporting students to and from Zion Lutheran Preschool. You may arrange transportation through day care providers or the ICTC transporation system
ENROLLMENT AND SCHEDULES
To be enrolled, a child must be at least three or four years of age on or before December 1st of that school year and must be fully toilet trained. (This includes no pull-ups and being able to take care of one's own bathroom needs).
Class Schedules
3-year-old students
Tuesday and Thursday
8:45 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
Morning drop-off 8:30 - 8:45 a.m.
Afternoon pick-up: 11:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
4-year-old students
Monday, Wednesday and Friday
8:45 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
Morning drop-off 8:30 - 8:45 a.m.
Afternoon pick-up: 11:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
CALENDAR
Classes operate between Labor Day and Memorial Day and closely follow the Mount Pleasant public school's calendar.
OUR HISTORY
Zion Lutheran Preschool began operation
in January of 1971.
We are open to preschool of all families
of any demonination, creed, race or ethnic group. We welcome your child to our program.
LOCATION
We are located in a spacious, well-equipped, cheerful room of Zion Lutheran Church at 3401 E. River Road., Mount Pleasant (989) 772-1516. It is located on the north side of River Road between Old Mission and Crawford. You may come directly into the preschool through the fenced play area or in the main entrance and through the building.
CURRICULUM
There are learning experiences in dramatic play, nature and science, art, music, math and language. There will be a balance of active and quiet play, individual and group learning and directed and free choice activities.
THE STAFF
Each preschool class is staffed with a qualified director/teacher and one or more associate teachers.
